Understanding Grade Boundaries
IB grade boundaries show the mark ranges needed for each final grade from 1 to 7. They are published after each exam session and help students translate raw marks into realistic grade expectations for a specific subject and level.
The most useful way to read a boundary table is to treat it as a decision-making tool. It tells you whether you are already in range for your target grade, how much headroom you have, and whether your next gains should come from accuracy, timing, or the highest-weighted paper.
