StudyIB is operated by Intelligence Education Technology Pty Ltd in Victoria, Australia. This policy covers the website, the AI tools and the app. By using StudyIB you agree to your information being collected and used as described here.
What you give us
Information you hand over yourself:
- Account details. Your name and email address, when you create an account or continue with StudyIB.
- Profile. The IB subjects you take, your grade level and your learning preferences.
- Your work. Essays, assignments and other material you submit for analysis.
- Messages. Anything you send us, and our replies.
- What you do here. How you use the AI tools, practice questions and study resources.
What we collect automatically
Some information arrives without you typing it:
- Your device. IP address, browser, device type and operating system.
- Usage. Pages visited, time spent, features used and errors hit.
- Cookies. Small files stored on your device that keep you signed in and remember your settings.
- Server logs. IP address, browser and the times you access the service.
Why we use it
We use what we collect to:
- Run the service: the tutoring, the feedback and the study resources
- Shape what you see to the subjects and level you are actually studying
- Improve the content and the accuracy of the AI
- Answer you when you get in touch, and send you updates
- Spot fraud, abuse and security problems
- Understand how the platform is used so we can make it better
Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it in four situations and no others:
- Service providers. Companies we trust to help run the platform.
- Legal obligations. Where a law, a court order or a government authority requires it.
- Educational partners. Only with your consent, and only for opportunities relevant to your studies.
- A sale or restructure. If the business merges, is sold or is reorganised.
How we protect it
- In transit. HTTPS and TLS encryption on everything sent between you and us.
- At rest. Sensitive data is stored encrypted.
- Access. Strict authentication and authorisation controls on who can reach it.
- Checks. Regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning.
- Less of it. We collect only what the service needs.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the platform is used, and see where it is slow. You can control cookies in your browser settings; turning them off will break some things here.
What you can ask us to do
You have rights over your own information. You can ask us to:
- Show you a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct anything in your account that is wrong
- Delete your account and your personal data
- Stop emailing you marketing messages
- Stop collecting certain data and analytics about you
- Hand it over in a structured format you can take elsewhere

If you are under 13
StudyIB is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and you think your child has given us their data, contact us immediately and we will remove it.
Where your data is processed
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we put appropriate safeguards in place so it stays protected to the standard described in this policy.
When this policy changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant we will post the new version here, email registered users, and show a notice on the platform. Continuing to use StudyIB after a change means you accept the updated policy.
