Factual: "What is the formula?" (basic)
Comprehension: "Why does this happen?" (good)
Application: "How would I use this in an exam?" (better)
Analytical: "Why does this model break down at extremes?" (best — and what examiners reward)
State what you understand → Pinpoint the gap → give an Example of confusion → provide Context → describe Ideal outcome → make a First attempt → explain Impact → show Connection to broader understanding.
"What does the mark scheme actually want?"
"What's the difference between a 5 and 7-mark answer?"
"Why is my answer wrong?" (more useful than knowing the right answer)
"What connects this to other syllabus topics?"
"If I had to teach this, where would I get stuck?"
