Publication standards
Editorial Policy
This policy explains how StudyIB approaches educational accuracy, source selection, updates, corrections, and AI-assisted content work.

Source priority
For syllabus rules, assessment policies, dates, and other time-sensitive claims, StudyIB prioritizes official IB, school, government, and other primary sources where they are publicly available. Explanatory material may also use reputable educational and academic references.
Clear educational purpose
Content should help students understand a concept, navigate a course, practise skills, or make an informed study decision. It should not encourage plagiarism, impersonate official IB advice, or promise a particular grade.
Dates and updates
Guide pages display publication or update information when it is available in the content system. Pages are revised when material changes or a correction is confirmed; an updated date should reflect a meaningful content change rather than a cosmetic refresh.
AI-assisted work
AI tools may assist with drafting, organization, classification, or quality checks. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, so current and high-stakes facts should be checked against authoritative sources. AI assistance does not make StudyIB an official IB source.
Bylines and identities
StudyIB Team is a collective editorial byline. Historical subject-role labels are not represented as named people. A personal author identity should be used only when the individual can be accurately identified and the byline reflects their contribution.
Corrections
Report a factual error or outdated reference to hello@studyib.ai. Include the page URL, the passage in question, and a supporting source if possible. Confirmed issues may be corrected directly or clarified in a later update.
Independence and responsibility
StudyIB is an independent platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
